My Mother’s Christmas Pudding Recipe passed down through several generations (The handwriting is her’s)
    • 8oz raisins
    • 4oz mixed chopped peel
    • 3oz self raising flour
    • 5oz bread crumbs
    • 6oz brown sugar
    • 8oz finely chopped suet (or butter)
    • 1/2 teaspoon mixed spice
    • 3 large eggs
    • 6 tablespoons sherry
    1. Assemble all ingredients in a large bowl and mix thoroughly
    2. Three quarters fill pudding basins and boil for five hours making sure the water doesn’t come over the lids
    3. I usually double the quantity and save some puddings for during the year.

They store very well in a cool dry place
